Breakfast with the Birds

Join our exclusive Breakfast with the Birds tour, guided by an experienced bird keeper, all before the park opens its gates to the public! During this special
tour, you'll have ample time to ask questions and capture photos of our feathered friends residing in our stunning aviaries. Our knowledgeable bird
keeper will share fascinating insights into their daily routines, unique personalities, and the essential bird history and breeding programs we have
here.

Experience Highlights:

• Entry into the park for the day.
• Exclusive access to the park before opening hours, spending quality one-on-one time with our knowledgeable bird keeper.
• The chance to feed various species of birds in the park.
• Opportunity to take photographs, undisturbed by other visitors, and while birds are at their most relaxed.
• The best possible opportunity to hear and see critically endangered bird species and learn how Cleland Wildlife Park is actively involved with the conservation of these precious and declining species.
• Enjoy a relaxed breakfast in our Barking Gecko Café, either close to the fireplace or outside in the morning sun, with the wild lorikeets. Guests can also choose to have their breakfast packed into a picnic hamper, to enjoy within the park.

Breakfast Includes:

• Croissants lightly toasted with smoked leg ham and cheese, and tomato and cheese
• Seasonal fruit platter
• Selection of local cakes
• Coffee/tea (picnic guests have the option of a take-away hot drink or will be presented with a hot drink voucher per person), fruit juice and water

Availability:   Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays during daylight savings months

                     From Wednesday 2nd October 2024 to Wednesday 30th April 2025

Time:            8.30am to 9:30am – Breakfast served at 9:30am

Cost:             $146.50 per person

A minimum of 2 participants is required for this experience to proceed. You will be contacted if you are the only person scheduled on a tour and invited to reschedule to another day or be refunded. Maximum number of participants is 10.

Bookings close at 12.00noon, three days prior to the scheduled tour. Please call us on 7424 5800 to discuss requesting a booking after this cut-off time.

Booking Conditions

By making payment you are agreeing to abide by our conditions of entry and the following booking conditions:

• Bookings remain tentative until payment is received in full.
• A late arrival will forfeit your booking, and a refund will not be issued.
• For safety reasons, participants must be able to understand and follow all instructions given by Cleland staff
• Participants may be asked to leave the experience at any time at the discretion of staff. Cleland staff reserve the right to stop experiences at any time for the safety and welfare of guests and animals.
• Guest booking cancellation requests must be made in writing 5 days prior to booking to receive a full refund. Cancellation requests shorter than this period will not be refunded. If a refund is authorised, it will be made within 28 days of booking date.
• Cancellations made by Cleland Wildlife Park may occur due to extreme weather, or other conditions, outside of the park’s control. You will be notified via email if this is to occur and will be refunded in full.
• Due to unpredictable animal behaviour and weather, experiences may vary.
• Cleland Wildlife Park will close when the Fire Danger Rating (FDI) is classified ‘extreme’ with Fire Bush Index (FBI) of 75+, as published by the Bureau of Meteorology at 4pm the day prior. You will be notified via email if this is to occur and will be refunded in full.
• This experience is for all ages. Tickets are required for guests aged 4 years and above.
• Children 3 years and under are free but do not receive breakfast and must be included in the booking.

• You must be at your experience 5 minutes prior to the start time of your booking. A late arrival will forfeit your booking, and a refund will not be issued.
• This experience is accessible by wheelchair.
• Please advise staff when making a booking if you require wheelchair access
• Please note, we have a heat policy for the welfare and comfort of our guests and staff. If the temperature is forecast to reach 37 degrees at Mt Barker, then it is too hot for this tour to take place, the experience will be cancelled, and you will be refunded in full.
• Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for your experience.
• We recommend that guests wear enclosed footwear.
• This experience is seasonal, and availability will vary.
• The Breakfast with the Birds season for 2024/2025 will commence on Wednesday 2nd October 2024 and operate until Wednesday 30th April 2025.
• Please outline any medical conditions, food allergies or special dietary needs that our team should be aware of.
