Learn how to paint our native wildlife in Cleland Wildlife Park. Join Adelaide Hills based illustrator Zinia King, a passionate artist who creates whimsical illustrations to inspire creativity and curiosity around the natural world. In this workshop, participants will be looking very closely at the animals at Cleland Wildlife Park and then illustrate them in a whimsical way. Techniques will include the use of fineliner pens and loose watercolour washes to highlight the vibrancy of the animals. This is a beginner-friendly guided activity.    


Suitable for beginners to advanced   

Suitable for adults and children age 10 years+

All art materials are provided.   

The site has a café, toilets and drinking fountains        

This is an outdoors activity. If it is raining, we will go undercover near the café. 


Event Details:

When:             Thursday 28th March, 2024

Time:               Arrive at 9.45am for a 10.00am start

Duration:         2 hours - but feel free to hang around and explore the park after your class

Please Bring:   Clothes or a smock that you are happy to get paint on

                          If it is warm - a sunhat, sunscreen and water.

                          If it is cold – warm clothing and a wind proof layer

                          Camera/smart phone for taking photos of animals

Booking Conditions:

Event is free with entry or a valid Cleland Membership. 

You must be registered in the 'Art in the park’ event to participant, and arrive at the advertised start time (sorry, no latecomers).

Those age under 15 years need to have an adult supervisor with them at all times.

Cancellations – If you cannot make it please lets us know so that we can release the space for someone else.

Cancellations made by Cleland Wildlife Park may occur due to extreme weather or other conditions outside of the park’s control.  You will be notified if this is to occur.

If it is a declared a catastrophic or extreme fire danger day the day before the activity, it will be cancelled and you will be notified of a rescheduled date and time.
